De Dromerij is part of the Cebe Tuinen firm of gardening contractors which was founded by Ben Berends and later taken over by his son Cees Berends in 1975. Over the years and thanks to the knowledge and passion of both Cees and his wife Henriette, the plot - which formerly consisted of a nursery and garden centre - was converted into a 1.5 hectare, landscaped, private garden with plenty of surprising features which is currently home to various species of animal.

The idea of building small-scale accommodation for nature lovers, hikers, cyclists and gardening enthusiasts arose in 2003. However, it took until 2008 for all the necessary permits to be obtained and for us to start building De Dromerij. This also constitutes a good opportunity to pass the torch on to our daughter Marloes who will manage the accommodation in the future.

De Dromerij: for us, it's a dream that came true after all; for you it is undoubtedly a dream you look forward to which will provide you with pleasant memories.
