The vicinity of De Dromerij provides plenty of cycling and hiking, but there are countless other fun, educational activities you could undertake. What about Kasteel Aldendriel which dates back to 1477 for example or the De Tongelaar estate or the fascinating Sporen van de Oorlog [Traces of War] walk? The Molenheidse Bossen on the edge of Mill and also de Staatsbossen in St. Anthonis [both woodlands] make great venues for beautiful walks or cycling in Brabant's natural environment. Nature reserve De Vilt, between Beugen and Oeffelt or the Maasheggen area near Gennep are also worthwhile visiting. The area around the Kuulen in Mill provides good swimming and sunbathing opportunities. And de Kraaijenbergse Plassen, between Beers and Cuijk, also provide water-based recreation options such as swimming, fishing, surfing, etc. ![]() If you would like to keep up your exercise regime whilst staying with us you can visit sports centre Fitland in Mill's centre which also houses a heated, indoor pool. The village also features bowling lanes and tennis courts with a miniature golf course. Why not visit the charming fortified town of Grave or its neighbour, beautiful Ravenstein. Towns such as Boxmeer and Uden offer a wide range of shops and both Nijmegen or Kleve (just over the German border) are both nearby. The nearest railway station is located in Cuijk and the village is also home to a weekly indoor market De Vrije Markt on Saturdays. Mill also provides culinary options. There are several restaurants, pubs that serve food and a typically Dutch chip shop really nearby De Dromerij. Inside 20 km from De Dromerij you can visit a deer farm, a tea garden, a vineyard, a cinema and theatre, a rose garden, Overloon Zoo, an educational garden and much, much more. Naturally, both apartments feature a brochure full of local and regional information and you can always visit Mill's tourist office for further information.
